Arrowhead Game Studios has announced the Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40,000: Castellan’ Creed Legendary Warbond, bringing its August 12 release date.
Created in collaboration with Games Workshop, this Legendary Warbond sees players receive weapons, armour sets, stratagems, cosmetics, and customization options inspired by Warhammer 40,000’s Cadian Kasrkin regiment.
Included in the Legendary Warbond is the R/40-K Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle, a powerful assault rifle with competitive stats for medium range fights and impressive damage at longer ranges.
The R/40-K Hot-Shot is joined by the P/40-K Bolt Pistol, a sidearm featuring high stopping power and solid damage numbers, ideal for when you need a reliable backup.
Helldivers 2 also receives two new pieces of tactical gear with the Warbond. The new 40-K Meltagun stratagem can spit out devastating blasts of thermal energy capable of shredding through enemy armour. Working alongside the Meltagun is the G/40-K Meltamine proximity mine, which will explode around your enemies, damaging both foes and unintentionally nearby allies.
Players receive two new armour sets included with the Castellan’s Creed Warbond. Both the TG-8 Sharpshooter medium armour set and TG-122 Demo- Trooper heavy armour share the True Grit passive ability, which grants +20 weapon handling and 30% faster support reload speed. Visually, both armour sets closely mimic that of the Kasrkin soldiers from Warhammer 40k while still feeling like they belong on Helldivers 2’s battlefields.
There are a variety of cosmetics to unlock with this Legendary Warbond as well. Helldivers 2 players will earn the Camo Cloak and City Fighter’s Resolve capes, which include complementary player cards, the Still Standing player title, and both a Castellan’s Green weapon pattern and armour paint. The Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40,000: Castellan’ Creed Legendary Warbond is available August 12.
