Destiny 2 players can find Xur in the Tower hangar this week.
If you are not aware of the location, spawn in The Courtyard, open the map and place a marker on Saint-14. Follow it to reach the Trials vendor and then turn left to go towards the landing pad.
Xur will be on the catwalks to the left, behind what was once Dead Orbit vendor's place before Bungie nuked the factions.

Recommendations
Stronghold and Wormhusk Crown are the ones to look at if you are searching for decent stat spreads. Wings of Sacred Dawn is not bad either because it's a PvP Exotic so the extra Mobility doesn't hurt as much as usual.
None of the legendary armour pieces have over 60 stat total so unless you are looking for transmogs, you should stay away from them.
On top of being a great Trace Rifle itself, Path of Least Resistance features a really interesting perk combo so it could be a very good pickup if you have the Legendary Shards.
