Story content is getting expanded with Season 2 in New World as the players get to investigate what is going on with that sandworm in Brimstone Sands.
They will be helped by a mysterious group known as Blood of the Sands in this endeavour while Amazon Game Studios prepared another group to investigate the first.
As you may imagine, the new season also brings a new pass so there will be a bunch of stuff to farm for in both the free and premium tracks.
Transmog is one of the biggest selling points for New World Season 2 but it is not available at launch. It will actually be introduced in a mid-season update.
The aforementioned sandworm fight will happen in the 20-player Arena of Shah Neshen the Devourer which will have some exciting rewards apparently.
Much like the transmog feature, cross-server OPR is not available right now but it will be added at some point during the season.
One thing that did come immediately with the update, however, is the major change to First Light, which is no longer a starter area but rather an endgame one. Get ready to deal with Angry Earth.
As for smaller-scale PvP fans, there is a new arena map and PvP reward track rework to look forward to.
