Rashid is coming to Street Fighter 6 on July 24, 2023.
The Turbulent Wind is going to be unlocked for the holders of the Year 1 Character Pass automatically, meaning those who purchased the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions of the game will immediately have access.
There are no timed exclusivity shenanigans so the character will arrive on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S simultaneously.
As for the moveset, Capcom seem to have opted to not fix what isn't broken and as such, Rashid is coming back very much the same as he was in Street Fighter V, where he also made his debut.
Considering he is a DLC character this time around, he is highly unlikely to be the canonical protagonist.
One interesting point about the release of Rashid is that he will arrive roughly two weeks before EVO 2023, which had many of the members of the competitive community confused about the decision.
While neither Capcom nor EVO organisers officially announce it yet, it is highly likely Rashid will simply be banned for the duration of the tournament in order to avoid ruining the competition with a new fighter that some players may not be familiar enough with.
That said, he will be available at EVO Japan, which is coming during the opening months of the next year.
