EA Sports says it has been listening closely to community feedback since EA FC 27 The Grounds launched, pinpointing several areas for improvement. Fans have been vocal about wanting a Winner Stays system that will allow top-performing players to remain active on a pitch and establish win streaks.
Players and streamers have created ways to track these personal streaks, but EA wants to add something more official. The developer said it is currently exploring methods to bring Kickabout streaks into The Grounds itself. More details will be provided when EA has something concrete to share.
Kickabout matchmaking also needs some TLC. EA says players tend to enjoy themselves once enough players kick off, though finding enough teammates can prove difficult at times.
The developer is investigating methods to fix this, including allowing players to flag when a gameplay site needs more players, server-flexing that will link players across servers but keep them localised within the world and hosting official Kickabout events that players can queue into at set times.
Club Updates
Long-term fatigue returns to Clubs Matches. While players enjoyed Clubs’ infinite stamina system, some noted that the lack of stamina penalty favoured larger Clubs over smaller social groups.
EA has listened. After reviewing community feedback, we’ve decided to re-introduce long-term fatigue as part of Title Update 1.0.1. We will be looking at how players adjust to the change and evaluate match data in the coming days to ensure it’s having the desired effect.
Menus Within The Grounds have also been noted to load slowly or become unresponsive at times. This is something we are investigating, and we plan to provide an update soon.
Finally, a handful of individual problems are being addressed. Fixes have already been applied to 5- star skill moves not activating in small-sided matches and latency issues impacting some regional Clubs games.
Others including incorrect costs for changing Archetypes, glitchy goalkeeper behaviour in 1v1s, portal teleporting issues and various map and drop-in inconsistencies are listed as being either under investigation or currently being tested.
EA reiterates that this is just the start for The Grounds, with plenty of changes planned based on how players interact with FC 27’s new social hub.
