Bungie dropped the ball with Lost Sector loot and now a second buff is coming after the material additions.
Destiny 2 was particularly stingy with Legend and Master Lost Sector loot for a very long time and Bungie decided to do something about it with the launch of Lightfall.
The Lost Sectors started awarding more masterworking materials but it appears this was not enough as the latest TWAB announced there will be an increase to the Exotic engram drop rate in these activities.
However, while the drop rate increase is a welcome change, the main problem high-end Lost Sectors have is that they are tedious and repetitive activities that mistake bullet sponges for difficulty .
Another quality of life change that is coming is something that pertains to Commendation requirements for Guardian ranks. Those between rank seven and 11 will generally see lower requirements, with bigger reductions at higher ranks:
- Rank 7: 460 (was 750)
- Rank 8: 790 (was 1,250)
- Rank 9: 1,290 (was 1,750)
- Rank 10: 1,530 (was 5,000)
- Rank 11: 1,800 (was 6,000)
Bungie noted Guardian ranks will receive additional changes in the future as they monitor the players' sentiment towards them. For example, it is highly likely Lost Sector objectives will be moved to higher ranks in order to avoid people being "stuck" at Rank 6.
In the meantime, make sure you don't miss the first round of Iron Banner in Lightfall!
