Dead Island 2 is an action RPG developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver. The third installment in the Dead Island series, the game was initially released on April 22, 2023 on Epic Games, PlayStation and Xbox.
However, the game was not released on Steam unlike most games in the world. Many players who only use Steam were deprived for the game for over a year. With the 2024 content drop, Dambuster has decided to add the game to Steam alongside their new DLCs.
Worldwide Steam release times for Dead Island 2
Dead Island 2 received a new DLC called SoLA a few days ago. The new DLC takes players to a sunny music festival at Los Angeles to find the source of a distress message.
Dead Island 2 is coming to Steam exactly a year after the game's release on other platforms. The first region to get the game is North America and the last region to get the game is New Zealand. The worldwide release schedule of Dead Island 2 is as following:

- New York - 11 AM
- São Paulo - 12 PM
- London - 4 PM
- Rome - 5 PM
- Cape Town - 5 PM
- Warsaw - 5 PM
- Singapore - 11 PM

The game's release on Steam will surely increase the player count for multiplayer. While Dead Island 2's player count has not been satisfactory, the inclusion of the game on Steam will surely bring in new players for a few days. Aside from the new content, players who own Dead Island 2 on Epic Games can now play with other players on Steam. However, there is no crossplay in Dead Island 2.
