Developer Bellring Games is still looking to drum up hype for upcoming souls-like action RPG Mistfall Hunter. After releasing an extensive gameplay deep dive last month, this latest showcase is sure to have fans buzzing.
From developer Bellring Games, Mistfall Hunter asks players to test the waters and see if they’re capable of handling its action-packed brand of risk/reward gameplay with cooperative roguelite elements mixed in for good measure.
After a fantastic first look at gameplay last month, fans were treated to a new showcase today that further delves into what players can expect. Stressing player skill and finesse over button-mashing gameplay, Mistfall Hunter‘s combat appears incredibly fluid.
Enemy tells are readable, allowing players to know precisely when to attack, dodge, or utilize the games parry system. This showcase mostly focused on combat, but there’s a lot to be said about the games aesthetics as well. Visually, Mistfall Hunter runs a darker toned palette that really helps set the tone of each mission.
Level design also looks great, showcasing vertical level design and jungled areas riddled with both enemy and environmental hazards players will need to learn in order to survive.
Enemy attacks are telegraphed with stylish animations that indicate exactly when players will need to dodge or counter. While movement looks smooth, attacking feels just as good. Each enemy encounter will feel like a test of skill as players learn attack tells and learn how to take down larger foes. Players can currently get their hands on the games open beta via PC.
This will allow Bellring Games to properly address any major issues players find while they still have the chance. Considering how much Mistfall Hunter leans into combat and multiplayer elements, it’ll be important they allocate enough time to polish these facets of the game.
Mistfall Hunter launches July 30, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
