The recently released DLC "Haus" for Dead Island 2 is a narrative-driven expansion that features missions with a greater element of secrecy, demanding players to strategize and solve challenges independently rather than being constantly guided through the process.
This approach is indeed praiseworthy, and it becomes evident right away that the missions within this DLC are notably more engaging and well-crafted when compared to those in the base game.
In the second game area, you'll find yourself in an artificial forest, faced with the challenge of locating a well with no clear indicators on how to proceed. If you find this mission to be challenging and complex and you're uncertain about how to locate the well, we've created a guide to help you.
How to locate well in Dead Island 2: Haus DLC
As soon as you step into the artificial forest, proceed further until you come across two statues surrounded by cremated bodies. Upon locating these statues, ignite them by using either throwable items or weapons with fire capabilities.
One of the statues will trigger burning zombies, accompanied by the bloater. Choose any weapon without burning stats to fight them because they will be immune to this kind of weapon.
After successfully igniting both statues, proceed to the end of the forest while keeping an eye on the mission indicator. You'll notice that the previously obstructed door, now unblocked by removed roots, still won't grant you access to the well. Follow the updated mission indicator, leading you back to the middle of the forest. Here, you'll need to eliminate 20 zombies within the designated arena to unlock access to the gate leading to the well. Be sure to kill the zombies inside the arena, as it won't count if you eliminate them outside of this designated area.
Upon successfully defeating 20 zombies, make your way back to the gate, which will now be unlocked, granting you access to the well and, consequently, the progression of the storyline.
