PEAK, the co-op climbing game that became one of 2025’s biggest surprise hits on PC, is heading to consoles. Aggro Crab and Landfall announced today that PEAK launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 on October 22, 2026, with full cross-play support between all platforms. The digital version is priced at $6.99.
The game originally launched on PC via Steam in June 2025 and has since sold over 10 million copies, making it one of the most successful indie releases of last year. It was developed by the two studios working together under the name Team Peak, with the concept growing out of a one-month game jam held in South Korea. The console versions include all content updates released since launch, covering new biomes, items, and the Final Ascent update, which introduced an alternate ending requiring players to collect four gems across the game. The proximity chat system, which has been central to much of the game’s viral appeal, is also present.
The premise is simple but brutal: one to four players, each cast as lost nature scouts, must scale a mountain on a mysterious island to reach the peak and signal for rescue. The slightest mistake can send the entire group tumbling back down, making it the kind of game that is as funny to watch as it is to play.
For PS5 players who want something physical, Skybound Games will distribute a physical edition on December 9, priced at $19.99, which includes a game disc, a printed Scout Passport for character customisation with stickers, and a Buddy Code granting one additional digital copy of the game for a friend. Pre-orders for the physical edition are open now at select retailers.
