1C Game Studios announced they would deploy a hotfix to Caliber on September 27, 2023, where they will touch upon Faro, Vidarr and Rein.
Rein will finally become good without having to use Lightweight Chest Rig, meaning he won't be ammo-hungry at all times due to a small boost to his movement both in sprint and normal running.
Vidarr's drone will not have super tracking anymore since it won't be able to make sharp turns around corners, making cover much more effective against it.
Faro is the real headline of this set of changes though. He will jump from being a decent assault to being one of, if not the best pick to have around.
The change is a simple one as his primary weapon rate of fire will move from 9.4 to 10.5, increasing his DPS tremendously. This will put him at the top of the charts when it comes to time to kill (TTK), making him fantastic for flanking as he can mow down a team extremely quickly from a good position.
His main competition when it comes to DPS is Corsair but Faro's weapon is much easier to control since it barely has any recoil. With that in mind, many players will be running Heavy Barrel skill with him, increasing the damage by a further 10 per cent.
In other words, Faro's lethality has been increased to the point of insanity while he can also get a bunch of damage reduction, should he reveal enough enemies with his ability. Just don't facetank a Starkadr and you're fine.
