Baldur's Gate 3 has a rather deep character creation tool and getting your avatar just right can be time-demanding. It can also be infuriating if your focus wanders for just a moment and you start the game while forgetting one tiny detail, like the voice.
This will no longer be an issue when patch 3.0 comes around as Larian Studios teased a much-requested feature, the Magic Mirror.
In case you are wondering what it does, it will not reveal Snow White as the prettiest girl around as it is all about making your character their best self.
The magic mirror will have some limitations though. You will be able to change things such as appearance, voice and pronouns but will not be able to alter your race and body type. Therefore, if you want to be more buff than what you got, you will need to restart and properly create the character.
Additionally, you can't alter Origin characters with it, which only confirms that all the limitations the mirror has are directly tied with things that affect in-game mechanics.
In the case of the body type, switching it could cause issues with the romance system while race changing would bring issues about the racial passives and the in-game characters' dispositions towards yours.
Similarly, altering Origin characters would most likely break the game and cause issues that break immersion at best and make it unplayable at worst.
