There have been some rumours lately that the PlayStation partner studio, Bluepoint Games, is working on a remake of the highly acclaimed PlayStation 4 exclusive Bloodborne, released back in 2014.
According to those rumours, Bloodborne would get a highly requested PC port and the remastered version of the game with 4K and 60 FPS support for PlayStation 5 consoles. Those rumours happen to be false, and now, even the CEO of Bluepoint Games, Peter Dalton, confirmed that on one X post replaying to one of the fans that, as he says, Bluepoint Games is working on a new game and not any kind of remakes.
He said: "Nothing has changed since our statement that we are working on an original title. Everything takes time. We are committed to sharpening our skills!"
Bluepoint Games has already made one of the Souls remakes, Demon's Souls, from 2020, the remake of the original Demon's Souls and the first game that introduced us to the Soulsborne subgenre. This remake was published as a PlayStation 5 exclusive and was very well accepted among fans of Soulsborne games.
When Bluepoint announced that they were working on a new title, many people connected the dots and believed that the game they're working on is a Bloodborne remake. However, we can now confirm that this is not the case, and if you are one of those fans who cannot wait to play a remastered or remade version of Bloodborne, you'll have to wait for another opportunity because it is certain it won't happen any time soon.
