Amazon Games announced that the MMORPG Throne and Liberty will be released outside of South Korea this fall and will appear on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in September this year.
The last time Amazon Games brought a South Korean MMO game - Lost Ark to Western markets, Steam was buzzing with activity. Now, we have the chance to see if we get a repeat of that when a new South Korean MMO called Throne and Liberty comes out this fall.
This is a free-to-play game that has been available on the Asian market since last year, and will officially appear here on September 17, 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series platforms. Before that, players will have the opportunity to try the game in an open beta testing that will last from 18 to 23 July.
Throne and Liberty will be a game with a large and changing world, full of PvP and PvE content. Its main feature will be that the players will not explore the world only with the help of human characters, but they will be able to transform into animals, e.g. birds or fish, so that they can travel in the sky or under water.
Transforming into animals should also have significance for the gameplay itself as different animals will be able to summon a storm or even a solar eclipse.
The world of Solisium will be designed for cross-platform play from the start, and it is emphasized that this will not be an MMO in which you will solo, but the focus will be on grouping players into guilds.
