Rockstar Games has kept an unusually tight grip on Grand Theft Auto 6's cast list, but the community keeps finding the cracks, and the latest one comes from an actor who has one of the biggest gaming years imaginable ahead of him. Brett Gipson, who voices Sabretooth in Insomniac's upcoming PlayStation exclusive Marvel's Wolverine, has Grand Theft Auto 6 listed on his professional Actors Access résumé. The listing identifies him as a supporting character named Ellis, though no further details about the role are given.
The discovery was first spotted by MP1st, and Gipson's resume makes for interesting reading beyond just the GTA 6 credit. Alongside Sabretooth in Wolverine, where the character is listed as a lead role, Gipson also has Jim Hopper in Netflix's Stranger Things: Tales from '85, Grunt in Borderlands, and the lead role of Varanis in Contra listed on his credits.
That is a remarkable run of high-profile work for an actor who, by his own account, only recently broke into games. Ellis, however, is listed as a supporting role, which means the character could be anything from a significant story figure to a minor NPC who appears in a handful of missions.
Rockstar has officially confirmed nothing about GTA 6's cast beyond the two protagonists, Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, whose actors remain unconfirmed from the studio's side. Other supporting roles have been identified through the same method over the course of the past year, building a community-assembled cast list that treats resume discoveries as working assumptions rather than confirmed credits.
Gipson's listing fits that same pattern: plausible, unconfirmed, and now very much public. With pre-orders opening on 25 June and the prospect of a third trailer or gameplay reveal arriving around the same time, more casting details are likely on the way whether Rockstar intends them or not. Grand Theft Auto VI launches 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
