Grand Theft Auto 6 is rumoured to be collaborating with Discord on a time-limited promotion sometime before Rockstar’s next game releases. Tucked away in the game files by dataminers, mentions of the collaboration were discovered and detail Discord users being able to customize parts of the service with GTA 6 themed customization options.

Set to start on November 17, the collaboration would launch just days before GTA 6 releases. The length of the promotion isn’t too flashy, however it’s another opportunity for players to hop onto Discord ahead of the game’s launch should they want to celebrate.

Reported GTA 6-Themed Customisation Options Coming to Discord

Highlighted by Wumpus Central, players will be able to change a few areas of Discord should the promotion launch. Users will be able to update their app icon, platform theme, and display name font to fit a GTA 6 theme.

As noted above, the promotion starts on November 17 and will run until December 8. This is a little over a month before GTA 6’s release date, however for most users the customization options will only be available for a little under three weeks. For Discord Nitro subscribers, users will be able to keep the customizations until February of 2027.

Players were also able to get a look at what the new customization options may allow players to look like via a screenshot. Rockstar Games and Discord have not formally confirmed the launch of a collaboration between them.

Mystery Quest Could Be Part of Launch

Rounding out the leak is mention of an unlisted Discord Quest that players could receive during the promotional period. No information about this quest or what players can receive from it is known.

Discord Quests are typically awarded to users who complete small tasks that involve interacting with a game or piece of content through Discord. It’s possible then that this Quest could end with players receiving an in-game item from GTA 6, though there has been no information to confirm this is the case.
