How to beat Mendacious Visage
- As the game unfolds, this boss will reappear later on as a typical mini-boss, but at this stage, it's considered a boss due to his unique health bar and distinctive name.
- Locating the Mendacious Visage proves to be a more intricate task than defeating it. This boss resides within the labyrinthine Forsaken Fen area, accessible exclusively in Umbral. The most straightforward approach to locating it involves going through a tunnel from the Fen Vestige, descending to the lower level, and crossing a bridge guarded by two big enemies and two poison throwers. Beyond these enemies, you'll find a ladder that you can lower by circling around it, eventually leading you up a hill. Continue on this path, transition into Umbral, and employ a soulflay attack to unlock the passage. Behind this passage lies the boss.
- While it may initially appear imposing, this boss is relatively straightforward to kill. It primarily employs two attacks: a slamming move that inflicts wither and physical damage, and an attack where it exposes its head to launch barrages of wither seeds. These attacks can be effortlessly evaded by employing the dodge. When the opportunity arises, engage the boss either from behind or at the moment it opens its head, which is when you can inflict the most damage.
