The Sundered Monarch is the next-to-last boss in Lords of the Fallen. Here are some tips and tricks that can help you win the fight against him, as well as a comprehensive video guide.

How to defeat The Sundered Monarch

Even if this boss looks horrific, do not back off from him. Instead, engage him directly, and since he is huge, he will try to make space to hit you with the stone he wields. Do not let him; just sprint towards him and hit him for as long as you can. When you are aggressive, instead of attacking you, he will try to back out, giving you the opportunity to deal a lot of damage to him.
Every attack he wields is extremely slow, predictable, and very easy to dodge, so whenever you dodge the boss's attack, go offensive and release the barrage of attacks. Sometimes, especially at the beginning of the fight, the boss will use a ranged attack, sending a barrage of spears towards you; these can be easily dodged too; just dodge them sideways and you will be fine.
After you deplete half of the boss's health, he will become more aggressive and begin to use fire attacks, sending the flaming swords all over the battlefield. When this happens, dodge away and hit him with ranged attacks that deal a lot of damage and will make this fight even easier than it actually is.
