Lords of the Fallen: The Hollow Crow boss fight

The Hollow Crow is one of the main game's bosses, and this boss fight ranks among the hardest in the game. Here are several tips and a video guide to help you emerge victorious from this encounter.

In Lords of the Fallen, bosses are classified into three categories: main bosses, side bosses, and optional bosses. Main bosses are marked as "Heresy Purged" upon defeat and often grant in-game trophies/achievements. Side bosses are marked as "Sinner Judged" when defeated. Optional bosses belong to the secondary boss category and are not required to progress in the story.

In the snowy region known as the Fief of the Chill Curse, you will encounter one of the main bosses, the Hollow Crow. This massive crow presents a one-stage battle, although it's split into three distinct phases.

How to beat The Hollow Crow

An essential tip, arguably the most crucial, is to ensure that you enlist the help of Pieta for this battle. Her ability to distract enemies is invaluable since this fight involves fighting the hordes of mobs rather than one formidable boss.
During the initial phase of the fight, stay in Axiom. The moment the fight begins, employ the soulflay attack on the boss and inflict some wither damage upon her. Avoid the slow-moving and sluggish mobs in the initial two stages; your only focus should remain on the boss. After executing the soulflay for the second time and depleting her health with wither damage, the first phase is done.
In the second phase, you can either enter the Umbral intentionally or just die and then shift your focus solely to the boss as she moves around the arena. Whenever she reappears, lock onto her and swiftly approach to unleash a few strikes. After delivering the final blow, the third phase, significantly more challenging than the initial two, will commence.
During the third phase, concentrate all your efforts on the boss and steer clear of engaging with the two mini-bosses. The optimal strategy involves delivering a single strike to the boss and swiftly moving in a circular pattern around the central area of the arena to evade the dangerous attacks of the mini-bosses. If you find yourself trapped in frost, execute a roll and resume your circular running. When the boss reappears, land your blows and repeat this process until you've depleted her entire health pool. After that happens, all that remains is to land a killing blow on the crow and finish the fight.
The interludes between stages, in which the crow sends frost spikes your way, are relatively straightforward to evade. They can provide a brief respite from the intense segments of the battle and offer an opportunity to heal.
