The second riddle given to you by Sphinx in Dragon's Dogma 2 is the Riddle of Madness, in which she asks you to bring her your beloved. In this guide, we will show you how to finish this quest.

One of the first Sphinx's puzzles you will be able to tackle in Dragon's Dogma 2, the latest action RPG from Capcom, is the Riddle of Madness, the one in which she tells you to bring her your most adored.

This puzzle can be quite confusing, especially if you do not know what to do, and the fact that the wrong answer can lead to the quest being totally broken and entirely aborted doesn't help either.

If you do not know how to solve this puzzle, we have a guide that will lead you step-by-step to its completion.

The Riddle of Madness solution

Once Sphinx asks you to bring her the most adored, believe it or not, you must do exactly that—no more, no less. To solve this puzzle, you must reach maximum affinity with one of the characters you've encountered throughout your journey. In the early stages of the game, the best chances to reach this level of affinity are with Ulrika, if you choose to take part in her questline after the dragon's attack on Melve.

Of course, you can build affinity with a lot more characters, but Ulrika seems like the easiest one early in the game. You will know that a character has a high affinity for you when you speak to them and they blush. Also, the moment you reach maximum affinity with a character, you will unlock the corresponding trophy/achievement.

Now for the hard part. The best way to bring a certain person to Sphinx is to set a portcrystal right next to Sphinx, start the puzzle, and then go to a person with maximum affinity. Grab him/her and then use a ferrystone to fast-travel to the previously set portcrystal. This way, that person will fast-travel with you. Present them to Sphinx, and the quest will be done. By doing so, you will gain access to one more chest with another reward.

There is an alternate way to bring a person to Sphinx and that is by using Sealing Phial, an item you received by completing the Riddle of Eyes puzzle. Keep in mind, however, that if you decide to use this item, it will get the job done, but it will break once you release a person out of it.
