Dragon's Dogma 2, the newest action RPG developed by Capcom, is a game of many secrets that will satisfy everyone's curiosity with its expansive world, ready to be discovered at your own leisure.
Once you reach Checkpoint Rest Town, whether through exploration or following the main quest, you will come across a massive gate with a guard keeping everyone without an invitation away from it. Of course, an invitation is reserved for the late game content, so if you want to get past this gate earlier, you will have to be a little creative.
In this guide, we will show you the alternate way to get past this border control and gain access to the southern part of the map, which contains new adventures and quests.
How to get past a border gate in Checkpoint Rest Town
Just to be clear, you can actually gain access to the invitation, but in order to do that, you will have to do a lot of main quests, and if you are early in the game and just want to explore, this is simply not an option.
Once you reach the gate, backtrack a bit and see the ravine located on the left of the road that leads to the gate. Drop down and continue through this ravine; at the end of the path, there is a cave that leads all the way to the other side.
Keep in mind, however, that inside this cave, you will encounter some tough enemies and a lot of water (a deadly thing in Dragon's Dogma 2), so in order to avoid it, keep to the right and climb the climbable rocks there to reach the cave's upper levels. After you exit the cave, two bosses await: one Minotaur and one Chimera. Once you defeat them, make your way through rocky terrain to reach the gate from the other side.
