Stumble Guys, a highly popular multiplayer platformer game previously accessible on PC and mobile devices, is set to launch on Xbox Series consoles. To celebrate this upcoming release, the developers at Scopely hosted an event on Discord, and we had the privilege of being invited.
During this exclusive event, we got hands-on experience playing Stumble Guys alongside other participants. The developers shared insights into their game, discussing the process of bringing it to consoles and unveiling future plans for Stumble Guys. While we haven't obtained permission to disclose specific details, we'll gladly share our impressions of how the game feels on Xbox and our overall takeaways.
The moment we delved into playing Stumble Guys with the controller, it became evident that this was the intended way to experience the game. While other platforms are respected, Stumble Guys truly feels tailor-made for console gaming. The controls are exceptional, making the experience of manoeuvring these quirky characters an absolute blast.
The game loaded swiftly without encountering any server issues, likely owing to the moderate player count. Performance and frame rate were flawless during our test on an Xbox Series S, running seamlessly at 60 FPS.
On the official page, the status for Xbox and PlayStation is listed as "coming soon." However, the developers disclosed that the game is releasing tomorrow for Xbox (January 23, 2024), which is way sooner than we expected. Regarding the release date for PlayStation, we only know that it will happen soon; the exact date is still unknown.
