The patch notes have been released and they are packed with bug fixes that players might both love and hate.
Riot has introduced Harbor to the Valorant team as the 5th controller and with him came a bug fix for his controller friend, Viper.
Act in and Act out, the community finds new ways to bend the game in favour of their favourite agents and Riot has caught on to a very game-changing play that Viper did.
VIper players have noticed that when in a situation of standing in an enemy Snake Bite pool, throwing their own Snake Bite underneath their feet will cancel out the damage they were supposed to be dealt by the enemy Viper. This was fixed.
Another bug related to Viper was noticed when positioning her Toxic Screen. If the screen goes over two platforms that have different heights, a gap is left that can be used for advantage peek points. This was fixed.
Other fixes are related to the in-game minimap and while a lot of players do not utilize the minimap, for those who did the bugs have been unfairly tilting the scales:
- Ally position indicators would persist on the edge of minimap even after ally came back into view
- In some cases, KAY/O’s Suppression Blade position indicator could appear twice on the minimap
- Opening the larger map (defaulted to Caps Lock and ‘M’) during round transition could cause spawn barriers to appear as a single pixel
- “Recently Seen Enemy” icon indicators could sometimes update their position without the enemy being visible
Lastly, Pear, Valorant's last added map, has gotten a fix for the silver line from A main to A Link.
