VALORANT players have been gifted another peek at the game’s latest mystery agent, thanks to Riot Games teasing them again. Details on the agent remain scarce, but Riot could confirm them during Champions 2026. The latest tease comes from promotional artwork for a VALORANT-themed pop- up café in Shanghai.
Currently, Riot Games has revealed next to nothing about their new VALORANT agent. Recently surfaced reports claim that the agent will be a Duelist with an unconventional movement ability.
While Riot has not said anything about who or what the agent is, players have been given a few looks at what they look like. The newest peek comes from promotional artwork for a Shanghai pop- up café dedicated to VALORANT.
The character depicted in the art is faceless, wearing dark clothing and standing underneath a pink streetlight. They have bright yellow eyes and what appears to be white hair.
VALORANT Champions Shanghai will be wrapping up soon, so players might not have to wait too long to find out who this mystery character is. Rumors are leaning toward October 17 as their reveal.
Towards the end of Riot’s September developer update, some viewers believed that they saw the character shown above for a few seconds. If true, this new artwork showcases the agent further but does not go into detail about their abilities.
As of right now, there is no official word on when Riot will introduce their next agent. Rumors are pointing to October 17, 2026, but it has not been confirmed by Riot Games.
October 17 would be during the last weekend of VALORANT Champions 2026 in Shanghai. If the agent is revealed that day, it would line up with the lower bracket final. The grand final takes place on October 18.
Even if Riot reveals the character during Champions, it does not guarantee the agent will be playable immediately. An exact date for when they will become playable has not been announced.
Rumours state that this new agent will be a Duelist. In VALORANT, duelists are typically fighter characters that excel at entering fights and creating space for teammates to follow them into advantage positions.
Digging a little deeper into the rumored abilities, some say that this agent will be Chinese and have a dash ability. This could mean that their movement ability can either propel themselves short distances or send a projectile.
While both of these theories have been repeated throughout the community, there has been no official word from Riot Games to confirm or deny them. Even if the agent is a Duelist with a dash ability, we do not know how it will play compared to what we already have.
A movement-based agent would not be the first in VALORANT, but it still would be a fresh option. Until more details are revealed by Riot Games, take all of these theories with a grain of salt.
