Assassin's Creed Titans is reportedly still in development and could end up being similar to The Avengers and Gotham Knights-style of games, according to the latest rumours.

If you have never heard of Assassin's Creed Titans, we don't blame you. It's an unannounced project that was supposed to be a Monster Hunter-like game but according to rumours, it was cancelled at some point during the development for unknown reasons.

However, the most recent rumours suggest that Assassin's Creed Titans is now being revived as a different game, which would share some similarities with failed superhero games Gotham Knights and Marvel's Avengers.

According to the rumour, Assassin's Creed Titans is now a brawler looter type featuring four-player co-op with classes that have their own buffs and special abilities. Classes include Spartan, Apache, Medjay and Viking.

Storywise, players would allegedly get stuck in the animus and would have to work together to fight against historical figures like Attila the Hun, Julias Caesar and Wiliam Wallace to get out. Sounds a lot like an extraction type of game if you ask us.

Additionally, Villa Auditore would act as a hub area where players could pick quests, warp to different locations and buy gear from vendors who are Edward Kenway, Bayek, Altair and Evie Frye.

Assassin's Creed Titans definitely sounds unlike any other Assassin's Creed game

Obviously, none of this is officially confirmed and comes from an anonymous source on the internet so you probably want to take the info with a massive grain of salt, just like any other rumour out there.

There is a chance that Ubisoft are reworking Assassin's Creed Titans but until we get official information, don't get your hopes up so you don't end up being disappointed once it turns out the game was never really in the works.
