One of the biggest, if not the biggest, video game release of 2023, sci-fi RPG Starfield will be jam-packed with secrets for players to uncover and many of these secrets will be related to alien flora and fauna, which we already got to see in the gameplay footage that Bethesda revealed so far.
Players are already discussing just how vast the alien life will be in Starfield and they seem to be wondering about one particular question - Is there sentient alien life in Starfield?
Bethesda and Todd Howard have been pretty secretive about this question so far. The team did not want to confirm or deny that alien intelligent life exists in Starfield as this information seems to be strongly connected to the game's main story.
In Starfield, players will be tasked with collecting fragments of an artefact that should give us an answer about humanity's ancestors and origins. That's of course our guess based on what Bethesda said about the game.
And that's where we could get some mentions of intelligent alien life but certainly don't expect to interact with aliens like in Mass Effect where you could build relationships with NPCs, talk to them and much more.
Starfield is trying to be a realistic space exploration game, and having all sorts of sentient alien races would certainly break the "NasaPunk" concept that the team is going for.
So, in a nutshell, Starfield won't have intelligent alien races that you'll get to talk to, make them your companions and similar but there is hope that we will see at least some clues of intelligent aliens as we discover the mysteries of the universe in this Bethesda story.
