Tarsier Studios has confirmed a Friend Pass for Reanimal, though it may not be available at launch. Here’s what we know ahead of the game’s February release.

Tarsier Studios has confirmed that Reanimal will indeed launch with Friend Pass support. The feature has been one of the most frequently asked questions about the horror adventure so far.

However, while Friend Pass support is being worked on, Tarsier has warned that it may not make the launch date when Reanimal releases next month. The studio originally posted the information on social media, but then followed up on Discord to explain that while the team is working on Friend Pass support, they hope to have it ready at launch.

If that does not happen, Tarsier says they will implement it as soon as possible following release. Further details should be provided in the next few weeks.

Reanimal Friend Pass Details Detailed

Tarsier Studios said earlier today that while they “can’t guarantee” Friend Pass support will be in place when Reanimal releases, it is a feature the studio is working diligently towards.

Tarsier confirmed that Friend Pass support is “something we’re continuing to look at”, while also stating that it’s “working hard to offer you a Friend Pass as soon as possible.” The studio concluded by saying players should let their friends know that “this nightmare is coming, and it’s going to be terrifying.”

Friend Pass systems allow one player who owns the game to bring a friend along for the co-op experience without forcing them to buy a separate copy. This mechanic has been extremely popular in recent co-op games such as It Takes Two and Split Fiction, so Reanimal‘s support for it indicates that multiplayer horror is a big focus for Tarsier.

Speaking of horror, players who wish to tackle Reanimal solo won’t be left out in the cold. As with Little Nightmares 3, the game can be 100% solo’ed, so players won’t miss out on any content should Friend Pass not be available at launch.

Launch Information & Couch Co-Op Support

Reanimal launches February 13 on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game went gold last month, officially stating that development is finished on the title and it’s ready for production.

A demo launched last week on most platforms, with a Switch 2 version launching earlier this week.Unlike its predecessor, Reanimal does feature couch co-op support.

This should allow it to cater exceptionally well to Nintendo fans and their local multiplayer setups. Regardless of whether players intend on tackling the horrors alone or with a friend, Reanimal looks to be one creepy adventure.
