Reanimal is right around the corner, and THQ Nordic already gave players a first look at content coming after launch. The cooperative horror game from the developers of Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares 2 is releasing February 13, 2026.
Players can purchase the game’s Deluxe Edition alongside the regular release for the Season Pass and early access to future downloadable content. There’s also a small pre-order incentive for players that purchase the game before launch.
But the biggest announcement of the day was The Expanded World campaign. It’s a brand new DLC storyline players can look forward to after Reanimal launches later expanding on horror of the game’s campaign.
The Expanded World Campaign Explained
The Season Pass consists of 3 DLC chapters which Tarsier is referring to as The Expanded World. One chapter will release this summer with two more instalments to come later down the line.
The DLC will feature:
- An all new story
- Brand new kid heroes
- Untouched areas of the island at war
- Unknown horrors
Essentially it won’t be more of the same story, rather they are expanding the universe with new adventures.
What the Reanimal Demo Includes
If you can’t wait until launch to try Reanimal for yourself, you’re in luck! The playable demo has been made available already. Starting at the beginning of the story which follows the reunion of two orphaned siblings.
Take control of The Boy and The Girl as they encounter familiar faces searching for their missing friends throughout disturbing locations like:
- The Mill
- Trainyard
Get a feel for the creepy atmosphere as well as begin unraveling the mystery surrounding the island’s curse.
Release Date and Platforms
Reanimal will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S starting February 13, 2026.
