Overwatch 2 released Lifeweaver in a pretty bad shape for multiple reasons, including his healing potential and a silly control scheme.
Blizzard decided to fix both of these issues but it is the control changes that are the true highlight, especially because a player made a better set than an entire team of developers did.
The player in question used the Workshop mode to remap the hero's controls and provided a code for anyone who wanted to try them out, leaving many fellow players speechless.
Aaron Keller, the game director, recently revealed what the updated Lifeweaver controls will look like and while he didn't specifically say they were pulled from the aforementioned player-made set, the resemblance is uncanny.
In both cases, Lifeweaver's dash will now behave the same as Hanzo's, damage is done with alt fire while primary is for the heals, platform is now on the shift ability instead of the dash.
The new controls will be the default ones but players who got used to breaking their fingers on the clumsily-placed set by now will have the option to go back to it.
Lifeweaver will also be a subject of some balancing changes which will probably mean he is getting buffed, although no details were revealed yet.
