Out of the blue, Frozenbyte announced another entry in the Trine series, beautiful as ever.
Trine 5: The Clockwork Conspiracy was abruptly announced by THQ Nordic and Frozenbyte after the game's Steam and GOG pages popped up, seemingly ahead of time.
The game once again features the iconic trio and they are up against a more technological threat this time around, which may or may not take away some of that fairytale charm we've come to know and love.
It is once again playable with up to four people, meaning one would have to run a duplicate character since there are only three protagonists.
Minimum PC requirements for Trine 5 are:
- CPU: Intel i7-4770 or AMD FX-8350
- GPU: GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 280
- RAM: 8GB
Recommended PC specifications are:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel i7 6700K
- GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 Super
- RAM: 16GB
There is no mention of the AMD equivalent in the GPU section but it usually corresponds to RX 5700 XT.
You will also need 16 GB of storage space as well as Windows 10 or 11 to play the game.
There is no exact release date yet but the planned release window is summer 2023.
