Blizzard apologised to Overwatch 2 players for the issues the game is facing at launch and threw in a few cosmetics to sweeten the deal.
Overwatch 2 is making headlines for a plethora of bad reasons these days, most having to do with the poor state of the game at launch, with issues ranging from long queues, over being locked out of the hero roster to being unable to play at all.
Blizzard acknowledged they dropped the ball and are looking to compensate the players in part, with a few cosmetics that will become available soon.
The highlight is the Cursed Captain Reaper skin which is visible on the image above. Given the topic, it is just in time for Halloween and it's not excluded that it was meant to be a part of the event.
This is kind of a big deal since no one has enough Credits to purchase Legendary skins yet so pretty much everything that gets added will be obtainable only if you rob your real-life wallet.
However, it's also not impossible we will get alternative ways of obtaining Halloween cosmetics which could win some goodwill after all the bad news surrounding OW2.
Additionally, the players will get the Health Pack weapon charm, if you are even using those things.
As for the players who lost time due to the issues with queue length or crashing, Blizzard is also looking to implement more Double XP weekends than intended which should help us all catch up with the season pass and its underwhelming unlocks.
