League of Legends' most prestigious tournament of the year was recently tainted by a champion bug which may or may not leave a sour feeling in one's mouth, depending on who they root for.
The bug in question appeared in the Rogue vs GAM Esports match where Larssen played Orianna. He sent the ball flying into the enemy team and then used Shockwave, the ultimate.
Shockwave activated properly and where it was supposed to but the visual feedback showed something else - as if it happened on Orianna's spot rather than the location of the ball.
GAM's bot laner dodged the ult nonetheless but the mid-laner didn't. This was a losing fight for the team in any case but the bug was obvious to everyone and should it happen again, the ramifications could be worse.
Riot Games decided to remove the champion from the pool for the time being as the official announcement stated she will be disabled "until further notice".
Considering that fixing the champion and enabling her again would most likely require a different build of League of Legends, it is quite possible Orianna will not be coming back for the rest of the tournament.
Rogue are currently at the top of the group, having defeated every other team at the halfway point while GAM are in the last place, having lost to everyone else.
