Bethesda announced back in May that they are working on a big Starfield update that will add the first land vehicle the game, allowing players to explore and traverse the vast planets much easier and quicker.
Since then, we haven't heard much about this update or when to expect it but a new leaks has today revealed some fresh details on land vehicles and how they work. Sadly, we still don't have a release date but since some info has started to leak out, we wouldn't be surprised if the official update is on the horizon.
So, without further ado, let's check out everything that was revealed about Starfield's land vehicles in this latest leak.
Here's the breakdown of the latest Starfield leak:
- Vehicles (buggies) will be coming to Starfield in the next update.
- The buggy will have both open and closed roof variants.
- NPCs won't be able to drive vehicles.
- The vehicle has 2 passenger seats and a third one for Vasco. NPCs in rescue missions can ride with you too.
- Vehicles have weapons. The first one is a laser the second one is a launcher.
- Only Constellation companions will react to your actions when using the vehicle. This includes running over NPCs, being stuck and more.
- The vehicle does not need a special garage and will simply spawn by your ship as you land.
- You can customise the vehicle by changing colours but that's pretty much it.
- The vehicle does not have fuel requirements and it's invulnerable.
Obviously, some of these details have not been confirmed by Bethesda so you should take them with a grain of salt. We know that the vehicles are coming in one of the future updates but there is no official ETA on these updates just yet.
Hopefully, Bethesda will soon give us a confirmation on when to expect vehicles in Starfield as well as some other highly-requested features.
Starfield is available now on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
