Onimusha: Way of the Sword checked off a pretty significant milestone today, as Capcom announced that the action-adventure game now has over 2 million wishlists on all platforms.
This announcement comes right around the corner from the game’s release window. Having garnered enough wishlists will no doubt help bolster interest as fans are hungry for Capcom’s next-gen return to Onimusha.
But again, wishlists don’t always mean sales, so only time will tell if Way of the Sword is a commercial hit or not.

While wishlists can certainly act as a solid indicator for interest before release, they don’t always spell immediate sales. We’ll have to wait until after the game releases to get concrete numbers on just how well it performs commercially.
Still, it’s another good sign for Capcom as we get closer to Onimusha: Way of the Sword’s release date.
