Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is set to become a bit more expensive as Microsoft plan a small price hike for its subscription service. According to the official email that Microsoft sent to Game Pass subscribers, the Ultimate tier will be increased to $19.99 from its current monthly pricing of $16.99.
Microsoft will also add a new, Standard tier, which won't include day-one releases of Xbox first-party games. Xbox community member Klobrille made this neat little chart that does a great job of explaining the new changes.
PC Game Pass will also get a price increase in all countries but won't get additional tiers and will retain the day-one releases.
The official list of price changes for PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for each country can be found here so make sure to check it out if you're subscribed.
Game Pass price increase was somewhat expected given that Microsoft recently announced that Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will launch day on on Game Pass.
Recently, we also got rumours that Microsoft will slowly start adding Activision Blizzard games to Game Pass, starting with Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy next month.
With the catalogue of games from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, Activision Blizzard King and many other publishers, Xbox Game Pass will still be the best deal in gaming despite the price increase but for some players who perhaps don't have all the time in the world to play all these games, it could start to become a bit more expensive.
