XDefiant is a free-to-play FPS from Ubisoft. Developed by former Call of Duty producer Mark Rubin and his team, the game broke out in the FPS scene last year following the miserable state of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Set in a combination of maps and weapons from different Ubisoft titles, XDefiant allows players to choose from five factions in the game. To add on top of that, a new set of leaks has confirmed the arrival of new factions soon with an upcoming update.

According to data miner Rogue TX on Twitter, XDefiant will soon add a number of new factions to its roster beginning in Season 1 and beyond, most of them are part of different Ubisoft original titles. The files showed indication of the following factions coming to the game soon:

Ubisoft's XDefiant has been heading towards a positive change with constant updates. As the preseason ends, Ubisoft will focus on adding more new content such as weapons, maps and game modes.
According to the game files from the same datamining set, there were indications of new weapons such as the FAMAS. Moreover, Mark Rubin has confirmed that they are planning to add a Search and Destroy time game mode soon alongside classic Call of Duty game modes such as Team Deathmatch, Infection and Capture the Flag.
XDefiant has been a fresh breath of air in the FPS scene which is being dominated by games like Call of Duty, Counter Strike and Valorant. Hopefully if Ubisoft keeps adding new content to the game regularly, the game will become a staple title in the FPS genre.
