Rainbow Six Siege X is the game's official 10-year anniversary update that introduces new changes to the game. With the new major update, players have received a ton of changes to the game, which include a revamped audio system, new game modes, and operator changes.
Alongside new content, Ubisoft is constantly updating the game with new quality-of-life changes. The recent addition to these changes is the buff to renown currency gain. With the new buff, you can earn more renown every match, making it easier to unlock and buy in-game stuff.
Rainbow Siege X's Renown Currency Buff
In a recent interview with PC Gamer, Rainbow Six Siege X's creative director Alex Karpazis stated that they have noticed that players are getting less renown after matches following the launch of the major update. They have shared their concern about players getting frustrated with the low rate of renown gain.
To counter that issue, they have buffed the rate of renown currency gain. The new buff makes it easier for players to earn more renown without putting in too much time into the game. Moreover, they can earn additional renown for levelling up every time.
Aside from the buff, they have also made the renown payout equal across all game modes. So, from now on, players can grind any game mode they want and earn the same amount of renown. With the new quality of life changes, Rainbow Six Siege feels almost like a new game. Hopefully Ubisoft will keep making these kinds of changes with their future game updates.
