Capcom have teamed up with the legendary British actor Ian McShane (John Wick, Kung Fu Panda) on their latest Dragon's Dogma 2 video titled "Welcome to Dragon's Dogma 2", which aims to give players key info about the game's story, characters, world and more.
It's a lengthy video, clocking at almost eight minutes McShane guides us through what to expect from this highly-anticipated epic fantasy action RPG. We got to see plenty of new gameplay, which includes a lot of fighting against both big and smaller enemy types.
In addition, there are some first story details here, just to give you a clearer picture of what Dragon's Dogma 2 brings in this aspect. But you probably want to check the video above as it really does a great job of explaining things, even if you're not familiar with the game.
The video is pretty much similar to what we've seen so far, the desert canyon-like region and the verdant one with lush forests and sprawling hills certainly look like nice places for the action RPG but as a sucker for a more variety in biomes, I'm somewhat disappointed that we didn't see more.
The combat still looks excellent and will probably be the biggest highlight of Dragon's Dogma 2 along with its classes and RPG elements. It just looks too much fun, even on video and we can't wait to get started.
All in all, Capcom's new title is certainly shaping up to be one of the candidates for the Game of the Year given the early impressions from influencers and the press. Let's just hope it delivers once it finally releases soon.
Dragon's Dogma 2 is officially set to launch on March 22, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
