Itsuno Hideaki of Devil May Cry 5 and Dragon's Dogma 2 fame has some pretty cool news to share. He recently took to social media platform X to reveal that he has just started work on a brand-new game.
Along with the reveal, he invited developers to join his team at LightSpeed Studios, where the project is taking shape. "A new project has already started," Itsuno wrote in his post. "We will do our best to announce it to everyone as soon as possible. We are also looking for people to join us in developing the game!"
This marks the next big checkpoint in Itsuno's career since leaving Capcom in August 2024, after working there for more than three decades on some of the most iconic Capcom franchises, such as Dragon's Dogma and Devil May Cry series.
In November 2024, Itsuno finally joined LightSpeed Japan Studio, a team under Tencent's umbrella. Since then, he has spearheaded this new project in an absolutely new environment.
Although the details of the game are not yet disclosed, one can only imagine what this legendary developer has cooked up. At the same time, it is an announcement for the inclusion of talented developers within the team.
Very much open to additions, Itsuno and his team need people who could bring their vision into life. For creators wanting to enter the gaming industry, this might just be that very unique opportunity to work with a gaming industry veteran.
While details about the new game are scarce, the portfolio of Itsuno promises something to be excited about. Gamers and developers alike are very anxious to find out what is in store from one of the most respected figures within the industry.
