Dragon's Dogma 2 is one of the biggest video game releases of 2024 and Capcom have recently been revealing a ton of details about the game, as the official launch gets closer.
On top of that, within the last few weeks, various sources and leaks have provided further information about the game version on Xbox Series X|S and PC. More recently, the PlayStation File Size X account gave us further information about the game on PlayStation 5, more precisely, its preload date and download size.
Dragon's Dogma 2 pre-load start date and download size
According to the tweet, Dragon's Dogma 2 will be available for pre-load on March 20 at midnight, two days before its official launch. The download size of the game is 64.5 GB but we expect it to be a bit bigger come launch due to a day-one patch.
Dragon's Dogma 2's Standard Edition may be preordered for $69.99 and contains the Superior Weapons Quartet set, which comprises four golden weapons: a shield and swords, two short swords, a staff, and a bow. This exclusive pre-purchase offer is valid until March 21, 2024. Players can pre-order DD2's Standard Version from the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or Steam.
There's also the more expensive, Deluxe Edition which is priced at $79.99, and offers players the 'New Journey Pack'. It has everything from the Standard Edition Set as well as the 'Ring of Assurance.' This offer is also valid until March 21, 2024. Players can pre-order the Deluxe Version of DD2 from the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or Steam.
Dragon's Dogma 2 has excellent visuals, and while it appears exciting and immersive, the real test will come on release day. With its wide range of customisations, parallels to Baldur's Gate 3 are unavoidable, yet the two games appear to have a completely distinct feel.
