Capcom have dropped a new trailer for their fast-approaching action RPG Dragon's Dogma 2. The trailer gave us a closer look at how Warfarer vocation (class) handles combat.

We've lost count on how many Dragon's Dogma 2 videos Capcom released so far but you certainly won't hear us complaining about it as we've been loving every single one of them.

The latest trailer aired during the PlayStation State of Play last night, revealing a new vocation, which is Dragon's Dogma 2 name for character classes. Titled Warfarer, this new vocation can use pretty much every weapon in the game and it can be used only by the player.

"The Warfarer is a new Vocation exclusive to the Arisen that can use every weapon and learn different skills from each Vocation. By using diverse weapons, the Warfarer can respond to any situation and create combos that cross Vocational boundaries. The Warfarer’s lower base stats require them to utilize the situational strengths of different weapon types to be on par with other Vocations with specialized strengths," Capcom explained.

Capcom showcased Warfarer playing as a mage casting spells, which look absolutely terrific, a warrior with a greatsword who climbs on top of the large mob and a ranger taking down enemies from a distance using his bow and arrow. The trailer certainly does not lack action sequences so we recommend you check it out.

One thing that we also noticed in the trailer is that the footage is once again 30 FPS. Recent rumours suggested that Dragon's Dogma 2 will be only 30 FPS on consoles, which would be a massive shame.

In addition, Capcom also revealed some additional gameplay mechanics, namely the mysterious plague Dragonsplague that can affect your pawn companions.

The devs descibe it as a contagious condition that infects pawns as they travel between worlds but instead of weakening them, the plague gives pawns "remarkable performance" as they become bolder in their speech and behaviour. Interesting, nonetheless.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is officially launching on March 22, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
