We all know that League of Legends streamers, and streamers in general, attain infamy hand in hand with fame, and get allies that troll their games due to hate. This year, no matter what Riot Games tried, these issues were what signified the season.
From the various gambling issues, to inting games and targeting streamers intentionally, the streaming scene and the whole League of Legends community has suffered a whole lot.
That is why, Tyler1's exact words on stream, when commenting on this season were: "This season was thrash, bro".
According to him, the season started out with the usual MMR abusers, who would take advantage of the game considering normal games MMR to be their ranked MMR, if their account was never ranked. This would allow for easier climbing through ranks, despite the skill difference.
The ranked experience was then further ruined by abusing the transfer system, where players would attain a high rank on servers with less skill, where it's easier to get to a high rank, and then transfer over to NA, where they would inevitably end up inting games.
It all ended with the trolls and targeting of high-profile streamers, in hopes of winning bets on their games, which caused an enormous drop in viewership for the League of Legends streaming scene.
Hopefully, season 13 will be free of these problems, as most have been directly dealt with by Riot, in one way or another. The gambling, though, is still an issue, and we will have to wait and see if the LPP program manages to make a difference there.
