Ahead of the 2025 League of Legends season, Riot Games has revealed a new update for the Summoner Spell icons, giving them a more modern look than it was before.
This is going to be a Noxus based season, with Riot releasing a lot of region-inspired content, including skins, emotes, orbs and even a reworked Noxus-themed Summoner's Rift map.
Major gameplay changes will hit at the beginning of the season - things like champion reworks, new runes, epic monsters and more.
Teleport changes
Teleport is getting yet another rework, making it more like its classic version once more. This time, you'll once again be able to Teleport to allied structures, minions and wards starting from the very beginning of the game.
With the old Teleport, you would have to wait 14 minutes to be able to teleport to minions and wards. Once upgraded into Unleashed Teleport, it'll gain a reduced channel time and grant additional movement speed on arrival.
Summoner Spell Icons - New look
Besides these changes in gameplay, Riot has refreshed the visual design of Summoner Spell icons for the first time in years.
These new icons retain the same theme and clarity as before, but the designs have been updated to look much sharper and sleeker. This way, the spells keep up with feeling modern, not losing that familiar feeling.
The updated icons are currently available for testing on the PBE, giving players an early look at what's in store.
Overall design tweaks aren't too dramatic, but the new visuals offer a cleaner, polished aesthetic that matches League of Legends' ever-evolving art style.
These changes, along with the rest of Riot's updates for the 2025 Season, make for a really promising start to the year: fresh and immersive, new in many ways, and very true to its causes.
