The leak regarding the upcoming League of Legends champion, Mel Medarda, coming with the arrival of the 2025 season. Mel Medarda is the daughter of Ambessa, and is one of the leading characters of League of Legends Netflix Arcane, a super hit Netflix series focused on the universe in two cities, Piltover and Zaun. At the start, she was not in the game. But, her arrival was facilitated by the success of the series.
Season 2025 is all about Noxus, with loads of Noxus-themed content including a reimagined Summoner's Rift, themed boots, a battle pass, and of course, champions affiliated with the region.
Of them, Mel Medarda looks to make her splash, with leaks from popular and reliable League of Legends insider Big Bad Bear, giving the lowdown on her abilities.
Mel Medarda’s abilities (Leaked)
Mel isn't really a support per-se, but more so a hard-hitting champion.
Her kit suggests a very dynamic playstyle, but we'll have to wait for her official release to see how she fits into the game.
- Passive: Mel’s passive resembles Kai’Sa’s Q. Her auto attacks fire additional projectiles, and these can execute enemies when enough stacks are applied, provided the target’s health is low.
- Q: This ability functions like the old Everfrost item, creating an area of effect (AOE) that stuns enemies caught in the center.
- W: Similar to Yasuo’s wind wall, her W reflects incoming projectiles instead of blocking them. It also grants her a speed boost and references her shield from Arcane Season 2.
- E: Comparable to Morgana’s W, it damages enemy champions and minions while generating stacks for her passive when executions occur.
- R (Ultimate): Mel’s ultimate enhances the damage from her passive stacks. It allows her to detonate the stacks for a burst of damage while keeping them intact for additional explosions.
