Season 2025 for League of Legends is already here, and it does so with Patch 25.S1.1. Riot Games has packed into this patch multiple updates-from changing the map to adding new items, runes, and monsters, among others.
Patch 25.S1.1 is scheduled to release on early January 2025. Below are the forecasted server maintenance times:
- NA: 3:00 AM PT
- EUW: 5:00 UK time
- EUNE: 3:00 CET
Among the really cool changes comes a Noxus-themed Summoner's Rift - the turrets and inhibitors are visually remade from Noxian architecture, as was the Nexus.
The Nexus Turrets can now respawn three minutes after its destruction, a game-shaking feature that gives better defensives even in case of an open Nexus position.
Additionally, this patch implements a new epic monster: Atakan, the demon of slaughter and bloodshed. Atakhan spawns on the 20 minute barrier, near the top or the bottom lane depending on either where the most champion damage occurs or kills are taken onto the previous 14 minutes within the game.
Additionally, Riot Games is updating the current set of Runes to include four new options: Axiom Arcanist, Deep Ward, Sixth Sense, and Grisly Mementos, replacing existing ones.
Most runes bring in new abilities: improved warding techniques, ult cooldown, or keeping track of enemy ward count.
