League of Legends Patch 25.S1.1 and Riot Games are making a game-changing addition at Summoner's Rift. In League's new season, we will have a new Epic Monster - Atakhan, the Ancient Demon of Bloodshed and Violence.
This is going to be an epic monster that will break the mold in how mid-to-late-game strategies will be thought out with unique mechanics and powerful buffs.
Atakhan spawns at the 20-minute mark near the top or bottom lane-whichever has seen the most champion damage and kills for the preceding 14 minutes of the game. His spawn location is marked by a terrain change at the 14-minute mark, giving teams a good amount of time to start preparing for his arrival.
Atakhan details
Atakhan has two forms, depending on the current state of the game:
Ruinous Atakhan
- The bloodier the match, the higher the chance that the Ruinous Atakhan will spawn; he'll join the team that secures him, granting the Crown of Carnage buff.
- This buff increases all epic monster buffs by 25% and spawns Blood Roses on the map. The roses drop Bloody Petals, which give permanent bonuses such as experience and adaptive force.
Voracious Atakhan
- Then, there is Voracious Atakhan, who shows up in less bloody games to give you the False Life buff.
- This provides teammates with a resurrection effect that procs when a champion takes lethal damage and bonus gold generation from champion takedowns.
With these unique forms, Atakhan adapts to the game's tempo, relevant both in aggressive and passive matches. He introduces an entirely new layer of depth to objective control, as teams have to strategize around not only his powerful buffs but also the possible game-changing benefits for their opponents.
Prepare for intense team battles over the transformative power of Atakhan in Patch 25.S1.1.
