Zed is getting a Mythic Version with the launch of League of Legends' new Galaxy Slayer Zed, a reimagined Galaxy Slayer skin in League of Legends' universe, but in the universe of Odyssey.
The Riot's Odyssey collection boasts an alternate universe theme, with heroes becoming templars, outlaws and bounty hunters. It first accompanied the Odyssey Extraction PvE game mode launch and remains a fan-favourite collection of skins.
Over time, the Odyssey skins have incorporated a lot of jaw-dropping looks in the game, with such examples being Odyssey Kayn and Odyssey Kha'Zix. However, Galaxy Slayer Zed, who joined in April 2019, is most likely the most valued in the collection, even rivaling such a fan-favorite champion as Shockblade Zed in terms of fan base.
Quantum Galaxy Slayer Zed first look
Now, Riot is revving an oldie but a goodie with a new edition in the shape of Quantum Galaxy Slayer Zed, with new animations and upgraded effects. As with all Mythic Variants, though, it doesn't break the bank.
How to unlock Quantum Galaxy Slayer Zed
Riot has not yet disclosed a manner in which one will obtain this Mythic Variant, but in past releases of Mythic skins, one will most likely have to shatter 30 Capsules.
Each capsule will cost 750 RP, and unlocking such a skin could therefore run 22,500 RP, roughly $200 USD. It is a follow through with a theme of high-dollar, high-cost cosmetics for Mythic Variants.
Release date
Currently, Quantum Galaxy Slayer Zed can be played for testing in the servers of PBE. It will go live in the servers with Patch 25.S1.4, with a scheduled launch date of February 20, 2025.
