Riot Games is soon to drop Patch 25.S1.3, bringing new updates to League of Legends. This patch will supposedly bring into action several balance changes within the champions, items, and game mechanics.
The most interesting changes in this new update are nerfing support items, buffing assassins and increasing the Attack Speed cap to refine gameplay.
This is, however, where the biggest shift in this update revolves around support items, particularly those designed for damage. According to Riot, these items have been performing too well, and they often overshadow their alternatives.
Therefore, this is being done in order toallow ADC players to have a balanced experience. Secondly, the cap on Attack Speed is being increased; marksmen will now have a lot more room in building.
There will also be some indirect buffs for Assassin players through improvements in the Domination tree. The class has been on a decline since the Season 2025 update, and Riot is looking to correct that by giving assassins more power.
Above all, specific champions such as Kayn and Evelynn are receiving direct buffs to improve their performance.
Patch 25.S1.3 releases on 5 February, 2025. Server maintenance will be early morning with the following scheduled downtimes: 3 AM PT, and 3 AM CET EU Nordic & East.
These are looking to create a much more balanced meta, improving experiences across different playstyles. Be it the ADC main, assassin player, or support enthusiast, this patch will most likely alter the way you go about your games.
