Guild Wars 2 is going to relive the culmination of the first Living World season soon and those who missed it the first time can now join in as a major change hits Tyria.
Guild Wars 2 will launch Battle for Lion's Arch on November 8, 2022, when the city will get invaded and we will have to jump in to battle the bad guys while attempting to save the population and put a stop to the fires that are engulfing the trade capital of Tyria.
This part of the adventure is going to be instanced but it will act as a giant world event. You will go through a loading screen and will be placed in an instance where up to 50 players can freely join to battle Scarlet's forces.
No story progress is required so you can just hop into the ruined Lion's Arch and see why it switched from a cool pirate-themed city into a glorified Quaggan theme park.
Additionally, the Battle for Lion's Arch and Tower of Nightmares will be added to the rotation in the Eye of the North so they can be revisited further.
In the meantime, there is a new Strike Mission called Old Lion's Court where a squad attempts to defeat three Watchknights in the ruins of the Grand Piazza in Old Lion's Arch. It is accessible from the Scrying Stone in Lion's Arch or the Strike Mission portal in Arborstone.
And finally, for those looking to deal with the story, they will get to duke it out with Scarlet whose mind has been driven to insanity by the big baddie of Heart of Thorns.
