ArenaNet and NCsoft make the beloved Shadow of the Mad King event return to Guild Wars 2 for 2024, bringing eerie festivities and spine-chilling adventure. Until November 5th, gamers will plunge into a world of Halloween wonder with its spooky rewards and festive challenges.
The new thing for 2024 is while using the Haunted Bell, players can head to fellow adventurers' homesteads or guild halls to go trick-or-treating. Earn achievements, too, and pick up a few bonus trick-or-treat bags while you're out.
Looking to decorate your homestead? New decorations are coming as well, including the Gargoyles, Haunted Bells, and more to give it that creepy feel.
How to start the Shadow of the Mad King Halloween event in Guild Wars 2
Activities all center around Lion's Arch that has been transformed into a Halloween zone. Check your in-game mail for an invitation from Magister Tassi that invites you into the twisted Mad Realm.
If you can't make it to Lion's Arch, haunted doors in Kessex Hills and several other locations will whisk you away on to the action.

Guild Wars 2 Halloween event rewards and Candy Corn items

And the bravest adventurers can discover a new collection of Sanguine weapons, forged from crystallized blood. But with all of those spooky activities and rewards, Shadow of the Mad King is the way to celebrate Halloween in Guild Wars 2!
